With the Spring edition of CRSSD Festival right around the corner, what better way to prepare than with a list of the best mixes from some of the most exciting artists playing.

Getting this list down to ten was no easy feat as the San Diego staple has dropped one of its biggest line-ups to date. If this doesn't get you in the mood for CRSSD, nothing will.

These are the ten mixes you need to listen to before hitting the festival. Game on. For more information on CRSSD Festival, head to the official website.

2ManyDJs

It doesn't get more epic that this, let's be honest. The Dewaele Brothers are the jewels in Belgium's rich dance music crown and as Soulwax they changed the game with their electro/indie crossover over a decade ago. Not content with just changing the dial as Soulwax though, the brothers formed 2ManyDJs, a project that redefined the humble DJ mix as we know it. 'As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt. 2' is their defining mix, a blistering, frenetic mix of moving images and all your favourite tracks, combined to make something truly unique and groundbreaking.

Brodinski

Our former cover star Brodinski has been somewhat of a musical chameleon over the last few years. Having broken onto the scene with a jagged techno, electro-twinged sound, he's always had a passion for hip-hop, which has guided his productions of late. Now producing for some of Atlanta's hottest rising names, Louis Brodinski's establishment in the Southern rap quarter has come full circle. When he performed in London to celebrate his cover, he was still playing his quintessential electronic-focused cuts but even then hip-hop was represented. He'll be playing b2b with 2ManyDJs at CRSSD and to be honest, while we have an idea of how it's going to sound, this set will be full of curveballs. Parfait.

Charlotte de Witte

November 2019's cover star and arguably one of the biggest names in dance music on the planet right now, Charlotte de Witte's rise to the top is seemingly unstoppable. Her thumping techno sound has taken her to the top of every festival and club bill all over the world and with her new imprint KNTXT, she not only has an outlet to release more of her amazing music, but she's also putting our records by heavyweights such as Chris Liebing and Monoloc. Her recent Lab NYC set earlier this year will take some beating but seeing her CRSSD is a safe bet if you're after a new-age techno masterclass.

Carl Cox

Ok, another cover star but we're allowed because it's Coxy. He adorned a crown on his June 2016 cover shoot and any self-respecting dance music fan will be the first to agree that Carl Cox has earned the right to wear one. His illustrious, enduring career is one for the ages and his sets get better and better as time goes on.

His appearance at CRSSD is a big one so here we throw it back to the 'classics' set that he performed at fabric around the time of his cover. Get ready for a nostalgia-inducing trip, Coxy's serving one up hot for you.

Colette & DJ Heather

This Spring CRSSD have made sure there's a balanced blend of legends and new talent and Colette and DJ Heather are two bonafide, house music icons. If you go to Chicago and talk about the roots of house and the city's bursting scene, nearly everyone you encounter will bring up these two, and for good reason. They ooze soul, groove and ability when they perform, as shown in the mix above. Essential listening.

Dax J

Pounding, unrelenting, nonstop power is what Dax J deals in. It's music that's meant to give you the creeps while you fist pump your way towards a dislocated shoulder. The techno titan is a regular on the festival circuit and he appears at CRSSD as a special guest. So if you like your electronic music 140bpm with kicks that sound like battering rams, he's your guy. His set from the infamous Gashouder in Amsterdam at Awakenings last year is a good way to prepare for the ensalught Dax is bound to bring.

Monki

UK tastemaker and genre-hopper Monki has always been a Mixmag favourite. Her ability to shift sounds within a set, coupled with her technical ability as a DJ makes her a must-see at CRSSD. Her Lab performance deserves an honourable mention but it was her set at TRNSMT in Scotland is one for the books. Disco and house pumpers run through this set and it's a bit of festival joy.

Nora En Pure

Nora En Pure is a master of deep, mystical electronica and she's won plaudits all over the world for her sultry brand of emotion-laced house music. Her Purified podcast is just short of a massive 200 episodes and is the perfect intro to her sound. Her tour schedule is pretty staggering and she's a regular at Tomorrowland, that's why we've picked last year's set from the festival to get you ready for CRSSD.

Patrick Topping

The people's champion, Newcastle's best export since Alan Shearer and Byker Grove and one of the most popular DJs on the circuit, Patrick Topping, affectionately known as Patty T to his legion of fans, is an undoubtedly big festival draw. Having released via Hot Creations, Relief and Repopulate Mars, his latest endeavor is a label and club night of his own and Trick is already making maves around the world with big tracks and even bigger raves. Watch our former star take the Trick mentality at CRSSD this year but also during his mammoth Terminal V performance last year.

RÜFÜS DU SOL

Groundbreaking, world-conquering Austrailan outfit RÜFÜS DU SOL have already had a huge start to the year. The former cover stars (recurring theme, we know) are about to release their mesmerizing 'Live from Joshua Tree' film, that showcases the band's latest album 'Solace' with mind-bending visuals, straight from the desert.
