13 images that capture the slam and serenity of Strawberries & Creem Festival

It’s a warm September weekend. The spirit of summer is still in full swing. You’ve spent the last year and a half in a state of uncertainty; but you know you have a weekend of dance, love and music ahead of you.

Started by a group of students, Strawberries & Creem returned on September 18 and 19 at Childerley Orchard, Cambridgeshire. Celebrating music and youth culture, the festival had an eclectic lineup of global names in hip hop, house, afrobeats, garage and drum 'n' bass.

This year the line-up included Burna Boy, Koffee, Denis Sulta, Honey Dijon, Moxie, Mall Grab, Jasper James, Hybrid Minds, Archie Hamilton and Wilkinson.

This was the first time the festival has taken place over a weekend with camping being added as an option for attendees. The spirit of the weekend-long party was reflected by attendees who seemed to soak up the energy of the September sun and carried it through for two full days of music.

It was a weekend of representation and showcasing some upcoming powerhouses in UK music. All-woman collective Girls Can't DJ curated the Carnival Float stage, bringing soca and dancehall sounds from Rinse FM resident and Girls Can't DJ founder Jordss, Henrie, Taylah Elaine and Izzy Bossy.

The main stage saw energetic performances from Nigerian performer Burna Boy and Jamaican singer Koffee.

Mall Grab, Chaos In The CBD and Honey Dijon were among the many world-renowned artists who played on the inaugural Studio S&C stage. Meanwhile, the drum and bass stage welcomed the likes of Wilkinson, Hybrid Minds and Dimension.
