adidas Originals unveils reinterpreted 90s OZWEEGO silhouette
A new take on a shoe whose aesthetic reflects the aggressive design of the early '90s
Following the release of the eye-catching rework of OZWEEGO last month, adidas is back with an array of new, vibrant colourway options, inspired by the nineties.
Combining the iconic runner with a more futuristic design, the latest interpretation of the heritage trainer has been reworked for today’s generation.
Released in a multitude of iterations throughout the 1990s, the OZWEEGO was the most forward-thinking trainer at the time. Reimagining it this time around, adidas looked to the OZWEEGO 3 sneaker of 1998 - a shoe that was immediately embraced by street culture.
Today’s model offers a modern expression of the original design and ethos of the ‘98 version. Using modern materials they feature a classic mesh with TPU construction across the upper, countered with fabric lining.
With five new colourways to choose from, they now come in a futuristic black colourway with Solar Green and orange accents, as well as a full neon orange option, said to be inspired by the era’s mad palette and vintage runner style.
The latest OZWEEGOs release worldwide on August 8th and will be available from www.adidas.co.uk and other selected retailers.
