Hidden amongst the scenic woodland of Denmark’s capital, fledgling festival Karrusel kicked off its third edition last weekend on the abandoned shipyard on Refshaleøen in central Copenhagen. This year, Karrusel welcomed in a mass of big names from all over the globe including Amelie Lens, Folamour, DJ Seinfeld, Nastia, Partiboi69, and Yung Singh, all helping to make this edition an extra special rendezvous just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen.
Though still in its infancy, Karrusel Festival felt like a well-trodden utopia just three years after its first event in 2019. Some 4,000 punters returned to feast on a selection of house, disco, and techno across three days in the secluded, glittering open-air setting set alongside one enormous, and namely, carousel ride.
