Marking her 20th year as a turntablist, Abby Nurock joins us in The Lab Johannesburg performing a strictly vinyl-only set next week alongside two budding Joburg-based musicians. With an eclectic taste for electronic groovers and a stacked vinyl collection boasting two decades worth of crate digging, Abby Nurock’s versatility as a DJ and selector proves true in both her wide-ranging mixes and crowd-pleasing on-stage sets, both of which have earned her a regular spot on South Africa’s 5FM, and major gigs alongside some of the hottest names in dance music.

Warming up the stage for Abby Nurock is Port Elizabeth’s ROZ. Merging house and R&B, ROZ knows how to get a dancefloor moving when she takes to the decks - and her universally-adored sets have gone on to see her perform alongside artists including South African legend Black Coffee. Next up on the warmup bill, Avi Subban is set to spin some heaters ahead of our star act. Hailing from Joburg, Avi runs through everything from deep house, jazz, techno, and soul in his broad, unfaltering sets.
