This Australian festival is a bucket list way to celebrate New Year's

Beyond The Valley is asserting itself as an essential destination festival, bringing a first-rate line-up to the paradise location of Barunah Plains.

The gorgeous natural setting 90 minutes outside of Melbourne boasts verdant greenery, a glistening creek and a 100,000 square metre natural amphitheatre among its stunning features.

Kicking off this year on December 28 and rolling through to January 1, 2023, the four-day camping event is an unbeatable way to celebrate the New Year. While Europe and the US plough through the icy grip of winter, it offers an escape to the Australian summer to fresh air, sun and music.

A heavyweight roster of DJs are on board to soundtrack the party, with many house and techno favourites such as Bicep, Kaytranada, Honey Dijon, DJ BORING, Sofia Kourtesis, Folamour, HAAi, Job Jobse, Palms Trax, Patrick Topping, Charlotte de Witte and plenty more.

A line-up coup also sees Nelly Furtado returning from a five year solo performance hiatus to play her first show globally since 2017 for an Australia exclusive. The GRAMMY-winning singer is joined by a strong showing of pop, rap and R&B stars, including Aitch, Denzel Curry, Yung Lean, Benee, Lime Cordiale, Yeat and Shygirl, with more big names to be revealed.

Beyond The Valley offers a standout place to see these stars in action, with impressive stages, high production values and plenty of thought put into the site and activities that you can immerse yourself in.

Alongside the unique setting of the natural amphitheatre Main Stage, The Dance Tent serves up a dazzling 70-metre wide LED wall and Funktion-One soundsystem, and the Dr. Dan's stage is a multilevel dancefloor colosseum.

Other features that are unlike any other festival include the access to the pools at the Beach Club and the hidden Schmall Klüb, which you enter through a door concealed inside a portaloo, that will host secret and spontaneous sets for those who track it down.

Festival-goers can also try out the interactive art installations, the Poof Doof 'Pride Patrol', speed dating, open mic, fortune teller, doof stick making, yoga, pilates and meditation.

Anyone looking to enjoy the festival in luxury can stay in the comfort of the glamping Lux Camp area, which offers a Ultra Deluxe option which will have you living like a Roman emperor, providing a chauffeur, butler, daily ice delivery, airconditioned tent with a raised mattress, and more.

Alongside the music-based stages, the festival will introduce its Podcast Stage that will host live and interactive podcasts.

Beyond The Valley is also committed to several charitable initiatives and investment in local causes, with the site move projected to raise $30 million for the surrounding area and the festival launching a donation scheme to award $50,000 annually to local community groups.

Tickets will be sold through registered charity Humanitix, which supports disadvantaged children, and $1 for every ticket sold will be donated to the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience, supporting indigenous communities. In collaboration with Treecreds, vehicle and coach passes will fund carbon offsetting.
