Birds of Mind step up for 25th instalment of Get Physical 'Body Language' album series

Berlin-based label Get Physical has released the 25th edition of its 'Body Language' album series, unveiling Paris-based duo Birds of Mind as the latest contributors.

Comprising of both original tracks and remixes by the pair, the compilation is a real immersion into their house music-aligned sonic identity. Think melancholic yet intricately utilised synths, both organic and deep house elements, careful use of pads and the occasional vocal whisper to boot.

Elsewhere, the record boasts a handful of remixes, taking on works including those by Chelonis R. Jones, DJ T. and Cari Golden, Kostakis and Zosia. Of particular note is the rework of the latter's 'Honey', which turns the original into a more twitchy, frenetic house offering ahead of rousing original album closer 'That Sweet Finale'.

"We are very excited to release this new 'Body Language' album, volume 25 in the series," Birds of Mind tells Mixmag. "'Body Language' albums have always been a great musical inspiration in the scene and for us personally and it’s a privilege to have been chosen to be part of this artistic journey. The album introduces five original singles and five remixes from the Get Physical catalogue."
