Boomtown Festival has announced the first wave of artists for its 2025 edition.

The festival will take place between August 6 and August 10 at Winchester’s Matterley Bowl, and is set to feature the likes of Nia Archives, Girls Don’t Sync, Overmono, Jyoty, Joy Orbison, Pa Salieu, I Hate Models and Anfisa Letyago.

Headliners on the 2025 bill include Maribou State, Sean Paul, and the Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, while the theme for the festival’s 16th edition is ‘Chapter 4: Power of Now’.

Known for its detailed production and immersive theatrics, the 2025 edition of Boomtown will see the introduction of a brand new stage, HYDRO, which will focus on house, techno, disco, and other four-to-the-floor sounds.

Meanwhile, the Origin Stage will also be reimagined as a new stage called The Lions Gate, taking on the form of an ancient temple.

Commenting on the first line-up announcement, former Mixmag cover star Anfisa Letyago said: “Winchester! I’m so excited to be playing Boomtown for the first time!"

"I’ve heard so much about how unique, special and creative this festival is. I can’t wait to experience that energy and share my music with everyone. See you there.”

In October, Boomtown teamed up with Elrow for a joint Halloween weekender at London superclub DRUMSHEDS. The line-up featured the likes of Ben Hemsley, Emerald, Lady Shaka, Eats Everything and Riz La Teef.
