The Lab is our weekly office rave up where we live stream some of the biggest names in dance music and this Friday is no different as we welcome one of the biggest artists to have emerged from the US dubstep explosion, Borgore.

After studying at a renowned music school, Borgore went on to become a drummer in deathcore band Shabira before trying his hand at DJing after being exposed to the UK dubstep sound at a show headlined by the likes of Skream, Benga and Coki.

Since then Borgore has gone on to well and truly take the sound and make it his own. Creating a new genre in its own right, it's seen him marry his deathcore roots with dubstep. He's released on the likes of Spinnin' Records, Dim Mak and his own imprint Buygore, catapulting him to the top of the dance music tree where he regularly shares bills with the likes of Skrillex, Calvin Harris and Rusko.

Tune in below or on MixmagTV this Friday from 4.00pm GMT. Thursday we have Kill The Noise in The Lab and you can tune in here.

Borgore plays Electric Ballroom, Brixton followed by an afterparty at Scala, London this Thursday. Get tickets here
