Denon DJ has announced the LC6000 PRIME, which the music tech company is calling “the world’s most versatile DJ controller”.
The new DJ controller carries forward many of the key features of Denon DJ’s flagship SC6000, but offers additional sub-layer control of the second dual-layer audio output of the controller’s software platform Engine OS, helping to utilise its full capabilities.

One feature of Engine OS is being able to mix and perform two tracks simultaneously from a single controller.
Priced at £599.99, the LC6000 PRIME will be available worldwide in this quarter of 2021. Denon DJ has stated that the new controller will bring “a professional club style layout, design and control to both standalone and laptop-based DJ workflows.”

With eight multi-function performance pads, the controller offers the ability for Hot Cue, Roll, Loop and Slicer for ‘on-the-fly’ remixing, with a separate loop section and navigation control panel.
Other features include an 8.5” jog wheel with a HD central display, a 100mm dual-preciison pitch fader and Pitch Bend control.
Jay Cunningham, Denon DJ’s Brand Marketing Manager, said: “Denon DJ has long been at the forefront of innovation in the booth and the Dual-Layer capabilities in our Media Players, giving DJs 2 dedicated audio outputs from a single unit, is just one we’re very proud of. The introduction of the LC6000 PRIME means we can continue that vision by giving DJs a cost efficient, professional hardware control of the second layer to continue breaking down barriers and advancing performance creativity.”
