Dialled In Festival announces more artists, workshops and stages for next week's event

Dialled In Festival has announced its second wave of artists, workshops and stage breakdowns for its final London-based festival for 12 months which takes place next week.

Those added to the already impressive line-up include Vedic Roots Soundsystem, Nahi Mitti and Natasha Ejaz. You can check the full additions here.

The event, which celebrates South Asian art and culture, will take place across six stages to showcase the wide-ranging musical styles existing within the South Asian community. These stages will be accessible to all with electric taxis available to take guests between them, too.

The signature Brewery Stage is set to focus on live acts, whilst Hackney Brewery will spotlight sounds from the global South Asian diaspora and lean into the freshly added Vedic Roots Soundsystem plus Jus Now and Rabiah.

Another notable area is the Switchboard Studio, which will offer a place for punters to relax and unwind, curated by UNDR.LDN.

Alongside the musical programming, there will be a host of non-music related workshops taking place throughout the day of the event, taking place at Beerblefish Brewery. Mehfil will offer contemporary culture from Pakistan and the Urdu language, there will be a dance workshop with Akademi, a writing workshop by 4 Brown Girls Who Write, and the ability to learn about harm reduction with Misery.

‘We’re really looking forward to working with the amazing team at Dialled In on this year’s festival and continuing our work to open up creative opportunities to young people in the borough," explains Harriet Warden of Blackhorse Workshop, one of the community organisations involved in the workshops.

"This is a real chance to experience creative ambition first hand and to see where it can take you when you come together to make things happen. “

Next week's event will follow the inaugural festival last year and a second event in April earlier this year, with this forthcoming affair being described by Dialled In as "the culmination of a busy summer".

"After having thrown Boiler Room Pakistan, curated a V&A late, a stage at Four Tet all-dayer in Finsbury Park and then the UK Pakistani band, Jaubi, our return to Walthamstow is a celebration of how far we’ve come in a year,” they add.

Tickets for next week (September 10)'s Dialled In festival are still available. You can get yours here.
