DJ Koze shares details on first album in 7 years, 'Music Can Hear Us'

DJ Koze has shared details of his forthcoming album 'Music Can Hear Us', which will be released via his imprint Pampa Records on April 4.

To give listeners an idea of what's to come for his first album in seven years, the influential German producer has also shared new single 'Unbelievable', which sees him team up with labelmate Ada, who Koze describes as his "mental muse".

Described by Koze as "an infinite space where familiar logic no longer applies, where nothing is as it seems", 'Unbelievable' is a low-tempo, otherworldly progressive house track that marries delicate percussion with searing, hypnotic bass.

The track has been released alongside an accompanying music video that features moody shots of long dark roads, trees on fire, and fairground lights at night – alongside shots of Ada and a masked Koze.

'Music Can Hear Us' will consist of 15 tracks and feature collaborations from the likes of Austrian experimental artist Soap&Skin, indie-pop's Sophia Kennedy, The Notwist's Markus Acher and J-pop band Marewrew.

The announcement follows the release of the album's lead single 'Pure Love' in December, which features Gorillaz and Blur frontman Damon Albarn.

Koze has described his hotly anticipated upcoming record as "the most potent legal drug" and "a cosmic synapse rodeo". It will arrive via Koze's label Pampa Records on April 4.
