Eddie Fowlkes shares EP 'Forever' via Rekids
It's a true Techno Soul affair from the Detroit producer and DJ
Eddie Fowlkes has taken to Rekids this week, sharing his latest EP 'Forever'.
It's a four-tracker which epitomises the sound of the Detroit icon, adding to his vast discography across Metroplex, Tresor, Song, Peacefrog plus his own imprints CityBoy Records and Detroit Wax.
'Forever' is a record dedicated and directed to the dancefloor which navigates funk-infused house and techno. The opening track, of namesake to the EP, employs trippy vocals and hot-tipped drums before the record comes to a close on 'Nice', tapping into bubbly synths and swinging percussion.

“All of my creations start off with a bassline that perpetuates other rhythms," Fowlkes explains. "I just wanted to keep the impact of the vibe to hold the dancefloor, so I’m always thinking about people dancing on the dancefloor.
"Over 42 years of DJing helps me replicate that into tracks and songs.”
"Absolutely delighted to welcome Eddie to Rekids," adds label head Radio Slave. "I’ve been a huge fan of his since the early 90’s, and his unique house sound is the perfect fit for direction of the label. I’ve been road testing 'Forever' at clubs like Heideglühen in Berlin and I love the vibe."
