Effy and Flowdan team up for massive 140 collaboration 'Stone'

Effy has linked up with Flowdan to share a new dark 140bpm banger, 'Stone', via LG105.

The duo first connected in summer 2022, with this collaboration marking their first output together. Effy draws on fierce breakbeat and grit-fuelled grime-inspired synths for the pair's joint debut, with Flowdan adding his signature lyrical flow.

Percussive elements are playfully dotted throughout, and added to Flowdan's melting-pot contribution of grime, dubstep, dancehall and bass, the duo deliver a stoic prime dancefloor cut.

"Was so happy when Flowdan jumped on this hectic tune I made. Been a fan of him since Roll Deep and it was the biggest pleasure to be able to collab together," she explains.

Effy is a long-term fan of grime legend Flowdan, with a musical palette inspired by his genre plus drum 'n' bass, rock, and icons including The Prodigy and Maya Jane Coles.

This collaboration, it feels, is another stellar addition to her evolving discography which dote on and reflect particular feelings, moods and states of mind at the time of their production. 'Stone' channels the raw energy of her musical influences in the euphoria that emerges from the outset and throughout.
