Aphex Twin to headline Bristol's FORWARDS festival

Erykah Badu, Bonobo, Goldie, Primal Scream and more are on the bill

Aphex Twin to headline Bristol's FORWARDS festival

FORWARDS festival in Bristol has revealed the first wave of artists with headliners Aphex Twin and Erykah Badu.

Earlier this month Aphex Twins’ logo had popped up on posters across Bristol hinting at this show which will be his first in the city since 2006.

Other artists announced today include, Bonobo, Goldie with the Live Ensemble, Primal Scream, Biig Piig and Jockstrap.

From other genres beyond the electronic music space are RAYE, Amyl and the Sniffers, Olivia Dean, Viagra Boys and Katy J Pearson.

Talks dubbed by the festival as "The Information" will also return with a topic and speakers yet to be announced as well as a new series of initiatives.

Tom Paine, Co-founder of Team Love says: “We’re proud to be bringing FORWARDS back this year to the best city in the world, and our hometown Bristol. Building on our work from our inaugural year, we are incredibly excited to be able to pull together a musical offering with such an amazing array of talent.

“It continues to be our aim to make FORWARDS a space which invites debate and challenges the status quo. Offering our audience a place to come together, dance and make memories, while trying to inspire discussions, actions, and to enact positive change through the urgent conversations at ‘The Information’."

After debuting last year, the festival will return to The Downs, Bristol for two days spanning from September 1 to September 2.

Pre-sale tickets go live at 10AM on Thursday here with early bird day admission starting at £49.50 and weekend tickets available from £89.50. Check out the line-up poster below.
