I. JORDAN has shared their new double single ‘Give It 2 Me / Reclaimed’ via Ninja Tune.

The new release from the London-based artist is the third and final from a series of double singles they’ve been working on which have been ‘Hey Baby / I Had The Best Of Times' and ‘Always Been / First Time Back’.

Each double single has been charged with an emotive backstory from I. JORDAN as they explain that this is "some of the most personal music” they have released all year.

The track ‘Give It 2 Me’ has them reflecting on times of anxiousness as they explain: "I have lots of confused feelings when listening back to this release”.

They add: “It’s rough, raw and rugged".

With the other track ‘Reclaimed’ they comment: "This track was written as I began to process all those intense feelings around ‘Give It 2 Me’".

The techno-infused track was created in Spring for their gig at UnFOLD which Jordan states had “a huge impact” on their life in the past year.

“It's [UnFOLD] inspired musically in a way that refreshed and reignited my passion for making music. I've met so many friends through it and it's a space where I truly feel a part of a community. As a trans person this space is so important to me, and many of us who attend the party.”

The artwork - which you can see below - has combined contrasting lighting to reflect on Jordan as they told Disco Pogo: “Often the frequency spectrum is what informs the colours”, they add: “low ends are deeper colours, high ends are cooler colours”.

Earlier this month, I. JORDAN announced the initiative, Trans_Formation: Power in Community to support trans and non-binary artists.

The six day project will take place in January with the help from music organisations Brighter Sound and Generator as well as fellow artists Ifeoluwa and AIM award winning artist TAAHLIAH.

Jordan is currently on a tour of Europe with dates running through up until December 31 in Manchester, Paris, London and more. Check out the full list of dates here.
