Kate Bush has handwritten secret messages into a limited number of signed copies of her upcoming lyric book, she announced on her website.

Scrawled in invisible ink and only available to be seen when shined under ultraviolet light, they feature in the paperback edition of How To Be Invisible: Selected Lyrics, which will be officially released on April 6 in the UK and May 9 in the USA.

Signed copies are available to pre-order today (January 20) from a small selection of bookshops and record shops, including Drift Records and Resident Music, and those with hidden messages will be randomly distributed.

The hardback edition of the book was originally released in 2018, but the paperback version will contain a new introduction written by Bush herself, and a new cover design by Jim Kay.

2022 saw a renewed surge in the legendary singer-songwriter’s popularity, after her 1985 hit single ‘Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)’, was featured in the fourth series of Netflix’s Stranger Things.

The song reached No.1 in the UK singles charts last June, 37 years after it was first released. At the time, she made a rare statement, which thanked fans for their support.

It features the song, Running Up That Hill which is being given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show – I love it too!

“It’s really exciting! Thanks very much to everyone who has supported the song. I wait with bated breath for the rest of the series in July,” she added.
