Mixmag and Coors announce finalists of 2022 DJ Quest Competition

Last month, Mixmag and Coors joined forces on our search for aspiring DJs looking to make their break into the music industry - and win some big prizes.

We kicked off our next DJ Quest competition for the first time since 2020, where we asked bedroom DJs to submit a 30-minute mix with a chance to win some major prizes, including a set at our very own Mixmag Live event this month.

Of the three winners chosen to bill the event, one lucky DJ will be given the opportunity to perform our famous office party, The Lab LDN, where we showcase the best talent from around the world. The winner will also get the chance to play at Manchester’s The Warehouse Project on New Year's Eve, alongside the likes of Eliza Rose and Dusky.

Mixmag and Coors’ DJ Quest competition has now closed - and three winners have been selected to perform at Mixmag Live on December 17. Those winners are: Lottie Lee, Nickon Faith, and Mr Trouble.

Running since 2016, this competition has helped spot the next generation of DJs with past winners travelling internationally to others supporting the likes of Bonobo.

Hailing from Manchester, Nickon Faith delivered a 30-minute mix packed with house tracks new and old. Lottie Lee’s scorching half hour mix traversed through tracks from the likes of Ewan McVicar, Idris Elba, and CID, while Mr Trouble turned up the pace with his mix selecting from some of the best in Afro house.

Those selected will perform at Mixmag and Coors’ warehouse show with Carl Cox, Solardo, Manda Moor, and more huge names, on December 17. Tickets are on sale here.
