What are the current restrictions in Italy?

Nightclubs and events have not been accessible since before Christmas and were planned to reopen on Monday, however they will now open on February 10 at the earliest.

The requirement to wear marks outdoors will continue across the nation even in Italy’s low-risk areas named "white zones."

On Thursday, Italy should be accepting travellers from EU countries with only a "green pass" health certificate, which can be obtained via vaccination, recovery, or a recent negative Covid test, to enter the country without a self-isolation requirement.

Other changes of restrictions are still to be discussed including the use of the COVID ‘super green pass’ which is required upon entry of most services.

It is expected that the Italian government will discuss further changes throughout this week before publishing more changes on Thursday.
