Skrillex's label OWSLA set for LAB:LA takeover

The Lab LA is our weekly post-work party where we stream the finest American and international DJs from the heart of Hollywood. This Friday we're bringing the noise with an exclusive OWSLA takeover featuring Etnik, David Heartbreak, Vindata and special guests.

The LA-based imprint OWSLA has become one of the biggest labels to emerge from the West Coast in the last few years. Founded in 2011 by Skrillex, they have released tracks from massive artists such as Zedd, Porter Robinson and Dillon Francis – and built a reputation for putting out a wide variety of hard, beat and bass heavy music, ranging from techno to dubstep, hip hop to progressive house.

David Heartbreak has become known for transcending dance genres while still giving a nod to his Brooklyn roots. His dubbed-out trap sound keeps a foot in both hip hop and dance – and here he'll throw down a b2b old school 90s hip hop set with beat-centric indie-dance duo Vindata.

Following the David Heartbreak/Vindata jamboree is techno maestro Etnik. The 22-year old German is the poster boy of the Hamburg techno scene, with last year's EP 'Neon Daze' being a firm favourite with us at Mixmag. Etnik recently laid down a solid hour mix for our In Session series, which you can catch here.

Expect some surprise guests and the Heartsrevolution Swarovski-encrusted ice cream truck dishing out treats!

The Lab LA is powered by Void Acoustics and streamed from the Project LA Patio. You'll be able to watch the OWSLA takeover on Mixmag TV or below.
