Skepta is set to perform a DJ set at Ibiza’s iconic Circoloco party this month.

Taking a swing at his formative hobby once again, the Tottenham-born grime MC — who started out as a DJ for his brother JME — is swapping out the mic for a set of CDJs this summer when he takes to the stage at DC-10 on August 29.

“Can’t believe I’m posting this: SKEPTA DJ SET Circoloco Ibiza AUGUST 29TH #MasTiempo," he announced on Instagram last night, referencing late DJ and fashion designer Virgil Abloh.

“I know you can see this Virgil Abloh, haha. Full circle,” he added. The pair, who became friends through London’s grime and fashion scenes, were known to be close with references to Virgil in several tracks from the Tottenham MC.

DJs and MCs alike praised Skepta on his return to the decks, including Plastician, Cici, Patrick Topping, and Chip - FKA Chipmunk.

On August 29, Skepta is set to go up alongside Ibiza heavyweights including Adriatique, Kettama, La La, Luciano, ARTBAT, and Sossa. Skepta will perform his first DJ set in years.

Prior to his stellar career in grime which has seen him become one of the UK’s most beloved MCs, Skepta started out as a DJ for his brother, JME, and grime collective Meridian Crew.

The Tottenham-based collective performed together on pirate radio, and alongside JME, made hit tracks and instrumentals before disbanding and coming back together with Boy Better Know.
