Skrillex teams up with Bladee on new single ‘Real Spring’

The single marks the producer's fourth collaborative release of 2023

Skrillex teams up with Bladee on new single ‘Real Spring’

Skrillex has released a new single ‘Real Spring’ with Drain Gang member Bladee.

Marking his fourth collaborative single of the year, the track comes accompanied by a music video of the two adventuring around Japan.

‘Real Spring’ comes just a week after releasing ‘Leave Me Like This’, featuring rapper and producer Bobby Raps.

Also this month the DJ and producer has worked with PinkPantheress and Trippie Redd on ‘Way Back’, as well as with Flowdan and Fred Again.. on ‘Rumble’.

Skrillex has been rumoured to be working on his first solo album in nearly a decade with ‘Real Spring’ and ‘Way Back’ said to be featuring.

The double LP was first mentioned by fans after the artist posted a 15-second snippet of a forthcoming unreleased track captioned: “QFF/DGTC 23”.

Fans in Skrillex’s subreddit speculated that the second acronym, ’DGTC’, could translate for ‘Don’t Get Too Close’, following a tweet posted by the producer earlier last year.

In recent years, Skrillex has produced for the likes of 100 gecs, Four Tet, Noisia, Justin Bieber, J Balvin, and Ty Dolla $ign yet hasn’t dropped an album since ‘Recess’ nine years ago.
