Snoop Dogg announces he’s quitting weed: “Please respect my privacy at this time”

No, this isn’t a drill - Snoop Dogg has announced that he’s quitting the biftas for good in a new shock statement to fans.

Snoop, who employs a personal blunt roller and has previously been rumoured to smoke “up to 150 blunts a day”, told fans yesterday that he’s “quitting smoke”.

“After much consideration and conversation with my family, I have decided to give up smoke,” he explained. “Please respect my privacy at this time.”

Shocked fans speculated whether Snoop was pulling an early April Fools prank - while others joked that the stoner-turned-entrepreneur was using it as a tactic to launch a new vape or edible brand.

Last year, Snoop increased the salary of his personal blunt roller (PBR) in line with the rates of inflation. She now earns $50,000 a year for the sought-after job, previously $40,000, although Snoop’s retirement from weed could mean she’ll be made redundant.

His PBR claimed last year that she had rolled a total of 450,000 blunts since she started working for the rap star in 2016, equating to around 75 to 100 a day.

“The bitch is conning u man,” Snoop responded, before posting a follow-up video proving just how many he really smokes. “Stop lying,” he captioned the video, showing nine burnt roaches.

“Bitch said I smoke 450,000. Bitch, this is all in a day’s work. Stop lying,” he says in the background. “Fuck I’m gonna smoke all that weed in one day. What am I, a fuckin’ machine? Bitch, this is the roaches. See, roaches!”

Snoop also received the Cilo Cannabis Awards’ Lifetime Achievement in 2020, donning him a “pioneer in the cannabis world”.
