A brand new festival honouring the late DJ, fashion designer, and entrepreneur, Virgil Abloh, is set to go ahead for the first time this December in Miami.

Mirror Mirror Festival will take place across one day on December 3 at Miami’s FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park as part of the city’s upcoming Art Basel fair.

Travis Scott and Skepta have been announced as the headliners for the debut event, who will be joined by artists including Yves Tumor, BAMBII, Pedro, Venus X, Acyde, Rampa, and Benji B.

Mirror Mirror was set up in honour of the late artist Virgil Abloh, who passed away in November 2021 following a private battle with cancer. The festival is set to commemorate Abloh by championing artists close to him.

Shannon Abloh, Virgil’s wife and CEO of Virgil Abloh Securities said in a press release: “Virgil had the ability to bring everyone together to create magic.”

“With his close collaborators, we wanted to bring everyone together to celebrate Virgil–his legacy, his passion, and his care for others,” she added.

“He believed his real work was championing others and we will continue his work supporting youth in the arts with the launch of the Virgil Abloh Foundation in 2023.”

The creation of Mirror Mirror was also helped by long-running collaborator and friend Benji B, with all profits going toward the Virgil Abloh Foundation set to launch next year.

Mirror Mirror also sees Travis Scott’s return to the festival stage - his first headline show since 2021’s Astroworld tragedy. Next year, Travis Scott is also slated to headliner Rolling Loud festival in California.
